REAL TIME COMPOSITION WITH LOGOMOTION

WORKSHOP WITH CLAIRE FILMON

a cittadiDanza event

ree

“citta di Danza” is a festival born thanks to the collaboration and support of the

Municipality of Bergamo and the contribution of the Fondazione della Comunit à

Bergamasca, Provincia di Bergamo and Fondazione ASM.

From 22 September to 11 October, the enchanting space of the Ex Ateneo in Città Alta will

become a prestigious home for contemporary dance open to all citizens.

Ex Ateneo- Città Alta (Bergamo)

One of citta di Danza's objectives is high level training and refresher courses for those who

work in the field of dance as performers, teachers, choreographers, scholars. This is why

we are happy to host Claire Filmon, dancer, choreographer and international teacher for an

intensive workshop.

This workshop will explore and question composition in real time using movement and

speech, inspired by Simone Forti's Logomotion improvisation method and Claire Filmon's

creation "Books Games."

Develop precision and listening skills through improvisation alone, in pairs, or together.

Refine intentions and presence in the moment through movement and speech.

Integrate the notions of gaze when dancing and observing dance.

Produce sketches of compositions in Real Time through movement, speech, sound.

Claire offers teaching and research on improvisation in movement, and the resulting states

of body and consciousness.

She is particularly interested in what she calls "phantom partners," a bodily memory of

movement paths experienced with others.

She integrates the needs of these practices and encourages real-time composition and

individual creativity.

REAL-TIME COMPOSITION

Borrowed from musicians, it's about "choosing and organizing to show and hear" on a

stage, space, time, energy, and our own perception in the present moment, putting

ourselves at the service of a message, by making use of ourselves and everything on stage,

at that precise moment.

LOGOMOTION

Logomotion is a method of improvisation using movement and speech, developed by

Simone Forti. It allows for open and collaborative exploration based on a common source

and the sharing of concrete situations. Born from the community and cultural experiences of

the post-war avant-garde, its art and thought are similar.
